Promotional commitments can be entered directly in HublerX by the commercial team, imported from the TPM (Trade Promotion Management) system, or received from the CRM. The minimum data required is the SKU, the promotional quantity, the retailer, and the promotion start date — HublerX calculates the dispatch window and production window from these inputs.

Can HublerX plan for promotional packs and gift variants that have different BOMs?

Yes. Promotional pack variants — multipacks, gift sets, limited edition packaging — are maintained in HublerX with their own BOM. The promotional production plan uses the promotional variant BOM to calculate material requirements, which may differ significantly from the standard product BOM.

What happens when two promotions conflict on the same production line?

HublerX detects the conflict when calculating capacity for the second promotion — showing that the line is already committed to the first promotion during the overlapping window. The planner sees both commitments, the capacity gap for each, and the options for resolution — extending the production window, moving one promotion to another line, or negotiating a revised dispatch window with one of the retailers.

Can the promotional production plan be locked to prevent ad-hoc displacement by other WOs?

Yes. Once the promotional production plan is confirmed, the WOs are flagged as promotion-linked in HublerX. Displacing a promotion-linked WO requires a planner override with a reason — the system will not allow routine schedule changes to bump promotional production without a deliberate decision.
